Some say it originated in the 15th century from Buddhist monks mixing green tea and brown rice to stretch their tea supply.
Light-bodied yet smooth and round-mouthfeel; it is not surprising that this hearty and refreshing cup of tea has spread globally. Upon taking a sip, your mouth will be filled with a warm and nutty flavor with a hint of vegetal from the Sencha leaves.
